We are delighted to be hosting these monthly events, organised by Community Association Burston Community Wellbeing Projects.
Everyone is welcome to come for the full afternoon, taking part in various activities, or just pop in for a particular activity or as much time as you would like.
Booking is essential for the wellbeing activities - see below for all the info needed to book your spot. But if you would like to just come along for a cup of tea and a chat, then booking is not needed.

Yoga for Stress Relief with Tracey
12.30-1.45pm
An introductory workshop for anyone who feels stressed, anxious or overwhelmed and/or finds it hard to “switch off” racing thoughts or to “relax” the body.
We will begin with a brief explanation of the science behind stress and our body’s reaction to this (in the short and longer term).
Followed by soothing practices which allow us to begin to “over ride” the body’s stress responses by slowing down an overactive nervous system and encouraging us to move into the “rest/digest tend/mend” state of relaxation.
These will include: gentle and explorative yoga asana, soothing breathwork and a guided relaxation – suitable for all levels of experience.
Please note that attendees will be asked to complete a short health questionnaire before attendance to ensure suitability for the practices and to comply with my British Wheel of Yoga insurance. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to get in touch

Experience: Herb Walk with Jade
2-3pm
Join local medical herbalist Jade Waterworth on a gentle herb walk through a beautiful and hidden nature reserve just opposite The Space.
She will be teaching you about the medicinal and edible uses of local and native wildflowers and common plants which grow in abundance in hedgerows, meadows, woodlands and waysides.
Learn about the folklore and history of these common herbs as well as how to safely identify and harvest sustainably.

Workshop: An Introduction to CBT with Claire
3-4.30pm
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy explores the links between our thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and physical responses. This session will introduce some simple CBT techniques to help you bring awareness to unhelpful patterns of thoughts and behaviours.

Listening Sessions with Ruth Noble
30 minute sessions between 1pm and 4pm
Maybe you feel your head is too busy and need some help to make sense of it, maybe you have something you need to get off your chest, maybe you think counselling might be helpful but have no idea what it might feel like.
Ruth is an experienced psychotherapeutic counsellor with a calm and warm demeanour. She is offering half an hour of confidential therapeutic active listening, in our cosy cabin.
