The Friendship & Health Hub

We are delighted to be hosting these monthly events, organised by Community Association Burston Community Wellbeing Projects.

Everyone is welcome to come for the full afternoon, taking part in various activities, or just pop in for a particular activity or as much time as you would like.

Booking is essential for the wellbeing activities - see below for all the info needed to book your spot. But if you would like to just come along for a cup of tea and a chat, then booking is not needed.

A Deep Release / Trigger Point Pilatesβ„’ class combines classical Pilates moves to strengthen the core with clinical myofascial principles to help alleviate chronic pain conditions. The class is designed to release tightness, enhance functional daily movement, and restructure the body. This class is suitable for everyone from elite athletes to those rehabilitating post-surgery. Fascia restrictions occur in everyone, regardless of age, activity, or fitness levels.

Sand Tray Therapy is an expressive, creative therapy technique that offers a protective space to engage in the mind-body connection whilst using natural, grounding elements. 

It can prove to be a useful tool for people of all ages. Creating stories in the sand that represent our inner worlds can enable us to become aware of unknown past and current challenges in life.  By identifying areas that may require attention can assist in self-awareness and personal growth.

Healing with James Barley

James has been healing for over 30 years, he's a fully qualified healer with The Healing Trust and is a Trustee and Regional Committee Member for the organisation.As a conduit, James attunes to channel energy to the recipient where it is intuitively received and flows to where it is needed. This may be in any area of the person’s energy field – body, mind, emotions or spirit.

NEW: we are delighted to announce that in addition to the monthly Friendship & Health Hub events we will also be running a monthly Friendship Play and Stay Hub for local famillies with pre-schoolers, toddlers and babies. These will be run on the same days as the Friendship & Health Hub and will be run from 10am to 12pm. More info on the events page,
